What to do when there is NO Heat
No Heat between September 15th and May 15th, while furnace is within warranty is considered an Emergency. If you aren't sure submit a ticket 'emergency' and HomeBySix will figure it out. What can I do?
1. Make sure furnace switch is on, typically high on wall near stairs from basement, often accidentally shut off.
2. Check outside to ensure there are no blockages of exhaust or intake pipes for furnace.
3. Check that furnace breaker in electrical panel is not tripped.
4. Make sure furnace door is on and secured, many furnaces have automatic shutoffs.
5. Check filter, a dirty filter in extreme cases will cause air-handler to shut off, in mild cases a dirty filter will effect efficiency.
What to do when there is NO Air Conditioning
No Air Conditioning is not an emergency however the mandatory repair period for builder is shortened between May 15th and September 15th in first year of occupancy.
Submit a ticket and let's get someone to service the A/C but realize it is not an emergency.
What can I do?
1. Make sure furnace switch is on, typically high on wall near stairs from basement, often accidentally shut off.

3. Check that furnace breaker in electrical panel is not tripped, attempt reset if it flips again submit a ticket.
4. Check that the A/C breaker in electrical panel is not tripped, attempt reset if it flips again submit a ticket.
